March 1st
William James, an American philosopher and psychologist, said, “Act as if what you do makes a difference. IT DOES.”
Sometimes we are so bogged down in all the demands and obligations of the day that we forget why we are doing what we do. No one gives more support and encouragement to law enforcement officers today than ICPC Chaplains.
With COVID-19, Chaplains have been limited in their access to officers. In many cases, Ride Alongs are suspended, agency visits halted, and the ability to spend time with officers has been greatly affected by the pandemic. It is so difficult to build and maintain relationships with officers when access is limited.
ICPC Chaplains are creative and innovative. They have not given up on meeting the needs of the officers and families of the agencies. They are still doing whatever they can to continue to give support and encouragement to their officers. You are amazing in your resilience and perseverance.
Please know you are doing a great job. Know that you are loved and being prayed for every day. When life is difficult, remember that what you do DOES make a difference in the lives of our officers and their families.
May God give you the strength to continue even when it is difficult. May you continue to make a difference every day.
Blessings,
Pam
